It's a project led by the Galileo Galilei Federation of Grenoble (Fed3G) and retained by the Program "Investments for the Future".

The Laboratory of Excellence TEC 21 combines the Laboratory of Pulp and Paper Science and Graphic Arts (LGP2) and six other laboratories in Grenoble:

Laboratoire Rhéologie & Procédés (LRP) [Rheology and Processing Laboratory (LRP)]
Laboratoire des Ecoulements Géophysiques et Industriels (LEGI) [Laboratory of Geophysical and Industrial Flows] (5 teams)
Laboratoire Sols, Solides, Structures, Risques (3S-R) [Laboratory Soils, Solids, Structures and Risks]
Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire de Physique (LIPhy) [Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Physics] (1 team)
Laboratoire de Science et Ingénierie des Matériaux et Procédés (SIMaP) [Laboratory of Science and Engineering of Materials and Processes] (1 team)
Institut national de recherche en sciences et technologies pour l'environnement et l'agriculture (Irstea) [National Research Institute of Science and Technology for Environment and Agriculture] (1 team)

The objective of TEC 21 is to develop new engineering processes used in various fields such as environmental management, reduction of natural and technological hazards and industrial processes linked to clean technology. It brings together the entire community of Grenoble Mechanics as well as research units working in related fields of materials science, chemical engineering and physics of soft matter.

Naceur Belgacem, professor at Grenoble INP-Pagora, coordinates one of three work packages of this Labex: work package 2 of the coupling between fluid transport and physicochemical and biochemical transformations. Nadia El Kissi, Director of the Rheology and Processing Laboratory, is the co-coordinator.
